Throughout the years, our on-the-ground teams have developed an excellent understanding of local infrastructure and built close relationships with local communities. Consequently, our teams are not only in a prime position to be able to identify community needs efficiently and accurately, but they have also developed the relationships so that community leaders feel able to approach them for Aegis Foundation assistance.
Since its launch in 2005, the Aegis Foundation has identified, planned and delivered over 300 projects. In addition to the immediate benefit to communities, the Aegis Foundation, where possible, seeks to enable local empowerment in order to facilitate future prosperity. It also maximises its impact by making every penny count through close liaison with its beneficiaries, allowing them to communicate what they really need, not just providing what we believe they need.
