We have taken our clients from their first soundings on the Iraq market through to substantial investment. Aegis Advisory assisted a western oil services operator with its entry to the Iraqi oil sector. We conducted a comprehensive market survey, identifying opportunities with Iraqi and international private sector and state entities. We provided a detailed approach to market including appropriate points of contact in the Iraqi government and advice on navigating the relevant ministries, complemented by a full risk assessment. Aegis Advisory used its top-level contacts in the Iraqi government to facilitate meetings with key decision makers and organised protective services for a delegation from the client company to attend meetings in Baghdad. When the client decided to enter the Iraq market, Aegis Advisory assisted in the establishment of the client’s commercial presence, including due diligence into potential partners, logistics support and long-term protective services. The client is now operating in Iraq in support of the oil sector.
