G1 Administration Clerk

The G1 Admin Clerk is reporting on a daily base to the Regional Director/Regional Management but must also report to the HQ G1 in Baghdad (when required). The Regional G1 is the region’s administrative person and will have to be able to handle all matters involving not only personnel issues but also other administrative matters the region is dealing with on a confidential level. They are also to maintain the Regional Cash Book as per instructions in the G1 Finance SOP.

• Daily reporting to the Regional Director/ARSC Commander on all personnel issues.
• Maintain and update Project Database.
• Compile tier/slot change forms as required.
• Processing of out-processing documentation.
• Post-leave audits and subsequent updating.
• Process and administer applications for MNFI/DOD cards.
• Maintain Crash-Out/Key Personnel lists, and submit each Friday to G1 Baghdad.
• Provide advice on G1 manning issues to regional management, and ensure its confidentiality.
• Processing and co-ordination of security clearance applications.
• Process personnel leave and travel applications.
• Iraqi National administration; recruiting / issuing of contracts, ORBAT management and personnel management.
• Maintain Regional Cash Book as per instructions explained in the G1 Finance SOP.
• Compile insurance/medical documentation in the event of injuries and forward all completed paperwork to HQ G1 Baghdad in a timely manner. Continue to provide updates as the incident/injuries progress.
• POC for accommodation bookings/requirements.
• Control and distribution of mail.

SHIFT LEADER/TEAM LEADER

Aegis is currently recruiting for a Shift Leader/Team Leader.  The Shift Leader/Team Leader reports directly to Program Manager.  The Shift Leader/Team leader will manage and direct protective security operations on a day to day basis. Directly supervise protective security specialists and ensure that all posts and detail positions are properly covered and that the detail is operation smoothly in accordance with the schedule and present plans. Directs and controls response actions, if required, through radio communications.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Level III English
  • 5 Years minimum military experience reflecting a discharge on a valid DD214 as Honorable
  • Successfully complete The Basic WPPS III PSS training
  • Five (5) years experience in protective security assignments  of which two (2) of these years shall have been in a supervisory or in-charge-capacity)
  •  Six (6) months of protective security experience working under WPPS, WPPS II contract or similar program; remaining three (3) years of experience can be gained in the employ of any national.
  • Maintain weapons qualifications for the Glock, M4, Shotgun, M240, M249, M203 and familiarization for the AK 47
  • Combat Life Saver or Combat Medic Qualified preferred but not required

PROTECTIVE SECURITY SPECIALIST

Aegis is currently recruiting for a Protective Security Specialist.  The Protective Security Specialist Reports directly to the Detail Leader or Shift Leader.  He/she is responsible for the day to day protective security functions as specified in the daily post and detail orders.  Responsible for driving the lead vehicle or follow vehicle or act as the response agent during operations or advanced security preparations.  Maintains protective formation position during the Principal’s walking movements and provides security at the Principal’s residence r Command Post as required.

FIRE ARMS INSTRUCTOR

The primary function of the Fire Arms Instructor is to provide protective security operations. The secondary function is to supervise weapons re-qualification training in overseas locations. The Fire Arms Instructor must plan, coordinate and record all weapons qualifications and re-qualifications as outlined in the contract.  He/She must ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition and materials are on hand for training and maintain 100% accountability of all equipment.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Provide verifiable evidence of successful training and work experience
  • Evidence of formal certification as an instructor
  • Worked on U.S, Federal, State or Local government training assignments

  •  Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Firearms Instructor/Experience can be gained in the employ of any national. State/Province, Local or commercial entities that provide high threat protective services

PROTECTIVE SECURITY SPECIALIST EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICHIAN

The Emergency Medical Technicians primary function is to provide medical support to principal and security detail members.  They must also have the ability to conduct protective security operations in addition to providing medical support as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND LOGISTIC SECURITY SPECIALIST

The Administrative and Logistic Security Specialist reports directly to the Administrator and Logistics Security Specialty Manager. Must have the ability to perform general administrative duties such as payroll and timesheets in addition to Preparing and maintaining personnel, property, maintenance and operational records. Assigned duties and responsibilities may include overseeing and scheduling supporting protective operations.  Must have knowledge of vehicle procurement, receiving, shipping, maintenance scheduling/tracking, repairs scheduling/tracking, serviceability, fuel logs, dispatch records, transfer of vehicles and maintain an active and accurate record of all vehicles, both armored and non-armored, assigned to protective operations. Responsible for the accountability of all assigned equipment to include weapons, ammunition, radios, ballistic vests, vehicle equipment etc. Coordinates transport and appropriate security for all incoming and outgoing personnel to/from the airport and ensure housing needs are met both in transit and in country.

  • One (1) year of working international administration and logistics support issues to include experience working with a wide range of procurement issues

OPERATIONS SECURITY SPECIALIST

The Operations Security Specialist performs daily duties within the Tactical Operations Center. Must have the experience and ability to evaluate threaten situations, and appropriately call for the deployment of the Quick Reaction Force and/or Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams.  Must have familiarity with communications equipment and have the expertise and capability to monitor and relay radio traffic, effectively control the network and communicate with entities outside of the network with a variety of voice and text based communications. (Local cell phones, UHF/VHF radios, tactical military radios etc.) Required to prepare daily and/or weekly reports as required by the supervisory chain of command.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Aegis are recruiting for an Operations Manager post for work in a
post-conflict / stabilisation environment overseas. The post reports to the Director
Country Management Office. Main duties shall include:

Act as G3 & G2 Operations lead through routine management of all current
business operations & projects

Conduct liaison with customers as part of the business development process

Contribute to the technical design and cost inputs of security solutions for
bids and proposals

Coordinate provision of reports and returns to London Head Office

Successful applicants will also have some background in intelligence
acquisition & management, probably within the armed services, and be
educated, ideally, to degree level

Hold SIA certification in Close Protection & be prepared to carry out CP and
other hands-on operational and training duties as required

ATFP SPECIALIST

Job Summary

ATFP officers provide support to facility security evaluations, coordination of force protection measures and risk mitigation advice. They serve as a key regional advisor on security of GRD personnel, information and critical resources from criminal and terrorist threats in their area of expertise. They support GRD AT/FP operations, physical security assessments, and risk management.
The ATFP officers are under command of the Security Director and at regional level the DRSC Director.

Main Functions/Tasks

a. Maintain continuous awareness of the operating environment and changing threat conditions in all areas of GRD operations, in consultation with CRSC G2 staff.
b. Review information available via GRD Director of Security and staff, MNF-I, other U.S. and Coalition military organizations, other U.S. Government and Coalition agencies and other sources to identify potential threats to GRD facilities and project sites in Iraq.
c. Make recommendations to adjust security force measures and operations based on identified potential threats based on regional threat assessment and tailored site threat assessments carried out by DRSC G2 cells.
d. Assist GRD staff to develop AT/FP plans at all GRD facilities employing established DoD, USCENTCOM and MNF-I established standards and directives.
e. Plan, coordinate and execute internal LVA’s of GRD facilities every six months or whenever directed by Commander GRD, District commanders or their designated representatives.
f. Develop requirements for manning, training, equipment and physical enhancements to mitigate identified threats and risks.
g. Provide other assistance to the CRSC/DRSC G2 staff as necessary.
h. Assist in the ATFP training of the Iraqi and Nepalese security force in all regions.

Secondary Functions/Tasks

This post is staffed for 12 hours daily 7 days a week; however the ATFP specialist is ‘on call’ 24 hrs a day.
The ATFP Specialist will also be required to perform any other tasks and duties not mentioned above as directed by any member of the Aegis Management.

Specific Skills Needed to Fulfil Role

a. Demonstrated experience in the planning, execution and evaluation of a program of effective local vulnerability assessments (LVA) of compounds and facilities in a forward operational area.
b. Demonstrated experience in cost-benefit analysis and the development of documentation to program security improvements through established resourcing processes.
c. Resourcefulness, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and the ability to operate effectively in a hostile and unfamiliar environment.
d. Track record of effective liaison in a Coalition, multi-cultural environment
e. Familiarity with intelligence processes and an awareness of threat and risk assessment frameworks in use at the Central and District Reconstruction Support Centres.
f. US citizenship with SECRET clearance, or eligibility for US SECRET clearance.
g. Successful completion of a US Military or DoD civilian ATFP course.
h. Previous military or civilian work experience in Iraq.

Armourer

Aegis are currently recruiting for an Armourer.  The Armourer reports to the Director Logistics or during his absence the Deputy Director Logistics. He is the focal point for all matters relating to the storage, accountability and serviceability of all weapons, ammunition and ancillaries used to support the Project

  • To maintain constant dialogue with the Director Logistics and Inventory Officer on all issues relating to the storage, usage and serviceability of all weapons and ancillaries used by Aegis Defence Services Limited.
  • To ensure that accurate accountancy procedures are in place to meet current regulations and the Government Property Plan.
  • To ensure that all accountancy matters concerning Loss, Theft, Damage and Destroyed (LTDD) is actioned when directed to by the Inventory Officer.
  • To ensure that issue, receipt and all registers are maintained to the highest levels of accuracy.
  • To ensure that all Government Property labels are serviceable on all weapons. To ensure that the security of weapons and commodities are maintained at all times.
  • To maintain constant advisory visits to the regions and provide comprehensive reports on the overall condition of weapons and their security.
  • To provide guidance on weapon maintenance policy.
  • To ensure that all stock levels for spare parts are maintained to meet supply and demand requirements.
  • Record a maintenance history for every weapon on the contractor inventory.
  • To ensure the adherence to SOP’s and the Government Plan at all times.

To provide cover for Arms and General Storage Manager/G6 Storeman.

The Armourer is to be a qualified weapons armourer, preferably Ex British Military Artificer of Wpns or similar. They will have an excellent knowledge of weaponry. They will have a good understanding of equipment procurement, equipment husbandry and logistic resupply. Warrant Officer or Senior Non-Commission Officer is desirable with a understanding of PSC operations.  They are required to have excellent diplomatic and communication skills to deal with the clients on a weekly basis.  They must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.  They must be capable of working in isolation for long periods of time.  They must be able to function with minimum supervision, be resilient under pressure, capable of working with senior management and subordinates in a variety of situations. They must be highly motivated and be able to work towards targeted deadlines, making maximum use of the resources available

G2 Intelligence Analysts

Intelligence (Analysts) and Officers, with operational to tactical level analytical experience, are required to work in G2 cells throughout Iraq where they will be responsible for conducting analysis on the effect of insurgent action on operations in support of the reconstruction effort.

Essential Professional Skills:

  • Formal Training in the analytical process from an advanced military or police force intelligence course.
  • Sound understanding of the intelligence cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Solid understanding of the Military Appreciation process (MAP) and Intelligence preparation of the battlefield (IPB).
  • Experienced in the preparation of PowerPoint slides for briefings purposes.
  • Experienced of the Middle East.

Individuals assigned to G2 must demonstrate a past performance of working in a military environment.  They are to have a history of handling classified information with a firm understanding and knowledge of information assurances and OPSEC.  Applicants must demonstrate current or  past clearance to secret level.

Communication and Information Systems Officer (CISO)

Aegis are recruiting for a CISO who is the deployed G6 IT and Communication Engineer responsible for first and second line IT and communication engineering in his AOR.  They will ensure that static and mobile communication systems are fully functional and carry out remedial repair action as required.  They will manage the local IT infrastructure and ensure connectivity, backup and recovery of data and MS Outlook pst files. They will carry out installation of IT and communication equipment as required.  They will carry out routine and preventative He will produce written fault reports and backload faulty equipment for third line repair. They will report direct to NCM and NITM for communication and IT related matters.

  • Maintain communication and IT capability.
  • Maintain communication equipment serviceability.
  • Carry out fault finding and repair of communication equipment to 2nd line.
  • Install communication equipment in ops rooms and vehicles.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on communication and IT systems.
  • Create, modify and upload radio profiles.
  • Administer IT systems to a level dictated by current user rights.
  • Install and configure camera systems as required.
  • Manage the use of all communications systems (static and mobile) in the AOR in accordance with Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Carry out regular Comms and IT training of all personnel, including team members and HQ elements on relevant communications systems (static and mobile) under guidance of NCM. This training should be integrated with other training, particularly at SET/RLT level. The CISO is to work closely with the Regional Security Manager (RSM).
  • Produce written fault reports and ensure faulty equipment is returned to NCM for third line repair.
  • Produce weekly communication reports to Dir G6, NITM and NCM.
  • Produce verbal and written briefs are required.
  • Carry out any tasks requested by Dir G6, NCM and NITM.
  • Assist the Watch Keeper when they are on a break or have to leave the office; this does not include prolonged periods or his leave replacement.

Close Protection Officer with Engineer Background

Aegis is currently recruiting for a Close Protection Officer with an Engineer Background. All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• UK Military Service for a minimum of 5 years; background will be former RE, Armoured Recce, 9Para, 59Cdo and comparable units

• Minimum required rank CPL, having completed
o Field Section Cdr course
o Class-1 Combat Engr course
o Trade trg class-1 (e.g. bricklayer, welder, concreter, plumber, electrician)

• Desired rank SGT, having completed
o Field Engineering Recce Trg at Battlefield Engineering Wing, Camberley
o RE SNCO course incl. RE Site Safety Supervisor’s course
