Aegis awarded US Government Contract in Iraq
We are delighted to announce the award of a major contract for the provision of security services in Iraq in support of the US Government. In the coming weeks, nearly two thousand Aegis personnel will be employed at ten sites across Iraq guarding installations, providing mobile security escorts and personal security details.
Aegis has operated in Iraq since 2004. We support both Government and Commercial clients. For seven years we successfully provided security support to the US Army Corps of Engineers across the length and breadth of the country and are particularly proud of our record in managing what was at the time the largest security contract let by the US Government in Iraq. This latest award is of a similar scope and scale in support of the planned draw down of US forces and our selection to deliver this complex and demanding contract ,during the transition , is testimony to our outstanding past performance
