Communications Manager - Iraq Project

The Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring robust IT and Communications capability at all project locations. Among other duties, he will maintain a resilient Internet connection at each location, configure, install and maintain all CFE IT systems including computers, printers and other peripheral devices and be responsible for the day to day management and support of the SharePoint Intranet website.

Security Escort Team Member - Iraq

Expatriate Security Escort Team (SET) members report directly to their designated SET Team Leader (TL) or the 2IC in the absence of the TL. Team members contribute both individually and as part of the SET, to the effective and sustainable planning, preparation and execution of SET operations. Within a SET, primary appointments are Vehicle Commander (Veh Comd), Principal Protection Officer (PPO) and Rear Observer (RO), and all team members can be expected to be employed as vehicle drivers and general security operators, subject to individual skill sets, availability and the intent of the TL.

Maritime Team Leader

To command a team of up to 12 Team Members required to prepare a Vessel, its Master and Crew from any potential hostile intent, to detect and counter that threat, subsequently to further deter & delay any hostile act of piracy or attempted armed robbery. As Team Leader of a VSD, to ensure the safe passage of the Client’s vessel, it’s Master and Crew, whilst transiting the seas in the High Risk Area under the control of the Team Leader and the guidance of Aegis Standing Orders and SOPs. Team Leaders are required to have served in the Royal Marines for at least 10 years and have been honourably discharged. Team leaders must have extensive previous experience of commercial maritime transit employment.

Maritime Deputy Security Team Leader (DSTL)

The Deputy Security Team Leader (DSTL) is the nominated deputy to the project Security Team Leaders (STL), who is, in turn, responsible for the daily management, operational training, conduct, discipline and welfare of their Iraqi and expatriate team members, as well as for the effective planning, preparation and execution of team operations in accordance with SOPs, which the DSTL will be required to assist the STL in refining during the first week of the project. The DSTL is a key enabler for the STL in the delivery of key Aegis Project services to the client and is therefore required to support the STL in every aspect of his role.

Portuguese Close Protection Officer

Aegis is currently recruiting for a Portuguese speaking Close Protection officer, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of military or police service
  • Exemplary discharge
  • Advanced Portuguese speaker
  • SIA licence
  • Clean criminal record
  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial sector
  • Available immediately
